Jaime Lynn Speiser, M.S., is a Research Associate in the Data Coordination Unit within the Department of Public Health Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina. She received her B.S. in Mathematics from Elon University (2010) and her M.S. in Statistics from The Ohio State University (2012). As a Research Associate, Jaime compiles safety and monitoring reports for a clinical trial for a new stroke treatment, assists in the analysis of a clinical trial that recently ended, and collaborates with the Acute Liver Failure Study Group in collecting and analyzing registry data. She is interested in how ensemble learning methods can be used for statistical classification, and ways to present and communicate findings to researchers outside the field of statistics.
